Math Kangaroo / 2026-27 at Hillside Elementary School

On behalf of Hillside Elementary School and the PTA, we are pleased to announce that we will once again host the annual Math Kangaroo Competition. The Math Kangaroo test will take place on March 18, 2027, from 4:30 PM - 5:45 PM EST at Hillside Elementary School.

Participation is completely voluntary.

Students must stay for the entire time and be able to sit quietly for the duration. Students who are late may not be able to take the test if others have already started.

Families are welcome to register their Hillside child(ren) by Dec 31st, 2026, on the Math Kangaroo website.

The registration fee per student is $20 and is to be paid by the parents. Late registrations will continue from Jan 1st through Feb 1st with an increased fee of $35 per student.

This test is rigorously designed to be challenging. Students must be able to read and solve questions independently, without adult assistance. It is crucial for a teacher or parent volunteer not to discuss/guide if a child lacks comprehension of its contents during the test. We kindly ask that you review the Resources below, have your child complete the FREE sample questions and evaluate your child's math competency before giving consent and enrolling.
