Dear Fifth Grade Families,

Welcome to fifth grade! At Hillside Elementary, your PTA organization strives to create a
memorable experience for each student in the graduating class. Fifth grade is a pivotal year
for our most senior students, and comes with a ‘special’ experience for which students have
waited since Kindergarten. Each year, we form a Fifth Grade Committee to ensure that
every single fifth grader who leaves Hillside will do so remembering that “Hillside has
Heart!”

The Fifth Grade Committee’s purpose is to plan and execute all events and special programs
relating to the fifth-grade experience, including the extensive fundraising required to make
these events possible. Please view the links in “Fifth Grade Central” to find out more about
what is planned throughout the school year, and visit this site frequently for additional details
on activities, fundraisers, and opportunities to volunteer.
